CLAIM:
These are illegal immigrants entering Manipur through the porous Myanmar border and taking shelter in Kuki dominated settlements.

FACT:
These are villagers of Bongbal Kholen, Island Block of Kanggui (Kangpokpi) district who were made to flee to the nearby hill while their village was burnt down to ashes by the Meitei militants. It may also be mentioned that, while in the wilderness, a baby was born with the help of village mothers without medical facilities.
